I'm late to the affiliate marketing game. For some reason I never took the plunge despite having created several sites that attract enough organic traffic to generate a nice income just from Google AdSense. For me, Google AdSense is the easy (or lazy by Rae Hoffman's reckoning) and admittedly passive way to monetize a site. Affiliate marketing actually takes work and only recently have I decided to commit to putting in the effort required.

Joel Comm describes himself as an internet entrepreneur. That's a pretty generic title, but it's probably as good a phrase as any given that he creates and monetizes web sites, writes books, and participates in the conference circuit.

It's Christmas-time again. For me that means many hours in airports, planes, and cars. The good thing is this year I prepared for all that sitting around by packing my WordPress blog on to a USB drive along with a long list of other portable applications. And because of this I'm now writing, for the first time ever, a blog entry while sitting in car.
